World Children’s Day / Children’s Day

“AIR IS NOT FOR WAR. AIR IS TO BREATHE.”

The Fly for Peace Organizing Committee warmly invites children, schools, youth organizations, international networks and partner organizations around the world to participate in the Fly for Peace – Global Children’s Peace Declaration 2026, a special global online initiative taking place on 1 October 2026, in connection with World Children’s Day / Children’s Day.

This initiative gives children from different countries, cultures, languages and traditions an opportunity to come together and share one common message of peace, friendship, understanding and a safe future for every child.

🌍 HOW CHILDREN CAN PARTICIPATE

Each participating child is invited to record a maximum one-minute video Peace Declaration in their own:

Mother tongue

National or regional language

Or another language of their choice

The declaration should express the child's personal message for peace and a peaceful future.

Every participating child should include the following message:

“AIR IS NOT FOR WAR. AIR IS TO BREATHE.”

At the end of the video, the child should introduce themselves:

Name – State/Province/Region – Country

Example:

“I am [Name], from [State/Province], [Country].”

🌏 CELEBRATING CULTURAL DIVERSITY

Children are encouraged, where appropriate, to appear in their traditional, national or religious dress, according to their family and cultural traditions.

Through different languages, cultures and traditions, we hope to demonstrate that although children may come from different parts of the world, they can share one common aspiration:

A peaceful world.

A safe sky.

A better future for all children.

🎥 VIDEO GUIDELINES

Duration: Maximum 1 minute

Position: Sitting

Orientation: Preferably landscape / horizontal

Location: Quiet and well-lit environment

Background: Simple and uncluttered where possible

Language: Any national, regional or mother tongue

Dress: Traditional, national or religious dress encouraged

🤝 INVITATION TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

We respectfully invite international kite associations, schools, children's organizations, peace organizations, youth networks, cultural organizations, universities and community organizations to encourage children in their networks to participate.

International coordinators may collect the participating children's videos and submit them through their designated Fly for Peace coordination channel.

✈️ ONE SKY • MANY VOICES • ONE MESSAGE

This initiative is not about nationality, language, culture or borders.

It is about giving children a voice.

From different countries, children can speak in different languages while sharing one universal message:

“AIR IS NOT FOR WAR. AIR IS TO BREATHE.”
